5五将棋についてAbout Gogo Shogi
1970年、楠本茂信考案。5×5盤、6種類の駒(歩・銀・金・角・飛・玉)を各1枚ずつ使用。香車・桂馬はありません。
Devised in 1970 by Shigenobu Kusumoto. Played on a 5×5 board with just one each of six piece types (pawn, silver, gold, bishop, rook, king) — no lance, no knight.
成りは最も奥の1列のみ(本将棋の3段ではありません)。それ以外(二歩・打ち歩詰め・行き所のない駒)は本将棋と同じです。
Promotion is available only in the single farthest rank (not the usual three-rank zone). Everything else — double pawns, pawn-drop checkmate, drops with no legal future move — follows standard shogi rules.
